Preventing Accidental Ignitions: A case study on developed shooting ranges

Wildfires are accidently ignited by target shooting each year. While there is no good data on the number of fires started by firearms, land managers recognize the need for strategic planning to prevent these accidental ignitions. This video explains the methods used by the BLM in Phoenix, AZ to reduce the risk of wildfire due to recreational target shooting with the construction of developed and managed shooting ranges (DSR). The video also explains preventive techniques such as prescribed fire that have been used by the Tonto National Forest to lower fuel loads near popular target shooting areas to reduce the possibility of ignition.

Felix: March 1, 2018

Roof-topping Documentary narrated by Felix, shedding light on his Night time hobby and passion. This project took a Banksy approach as Felix didn't want to reveal his identity. We thought it best to add a voice filter and capture footage that gave him a relatable but unknown perspective.

Short docs:

Class projects worth mentioning that helped me get better at looking through a different lens. Thinking about blocking and cinematography as they talked about a topic of interest. Experimenting with different editing styles and overall practice editing helped me become more efficient at editing. I was getting into journalism at the time and added stills to their audio bytes. It was an interview process that gave me experience with editing audio in a fluid fashion. The ASICS commercial focused on capturing movement and details. I used a long lens 18mm-200mm and edited the footage to sync with the music beats.
